SECRET SISTERS is finally here!

Hello Lovely Ladies!

I am so excited that you have an interest in Secret Sisters! I cannot wait to start pairing girls up with each other! It is such a fun time to get to know one another and I hope that you will choose to get involved in this mentoring program.

ok- I know ... I blame it on the summer ...

so I know that it's been forEVER since I have blogged and give you all some info on what is up with girls inc. ministry! (sooooo sorry, by the way) but the summer has been crazy busy and i kinda forgot about the whole blogging world, but it's okay because I am (going to do my best) to be back at it!

ok, now for the good stuff ...... UPCOMING EVENTS ......

"Secret Sisters" will be starting in SOON!! Secret Sisters, if you don't know, is a mentoring program that middle school girls are paired up with a high school girl and the high school girl, is paired up with woman in our church. You definately want to be a part of this! Applications will be handed out August 26th. You can also get an application off the website. Let me know if you have any questions about this cool opportunity to have a Big or Little Sister to share your life with.

The CLOSER MOMS AND DAUGHTERS TOUR :: This Saturday event is going to be a neat way for you and your mom to get closer. I think you should definately put this on your calendars and plan on attending. It's November 17th and would be a great opportunity to know your mom in a new way. More info to come .....

Let me know if you have any fun ideas that you think girls inc. should do! I would love to hear from you (and I will try and be better at this blog thing). : )

PS- For those of you who missed Summer Bible Study- you missed out! We had a really fun time, especially at the sleepover! -Did anyone get any pictures from that night? I would love to see them . . .

Hello! (to anyone who actually reads this blog . . .)

Here is a little update on what's going on with girls inc:

-Operation: Closet Cleanout went well. We donated over 6 huge garbage bags full of clothes! It was awesome. Hopefully next time- some more girls will show up . . . (HINT, HINT!) I think we could have donated 50 bags with all the extra stuff I know we ALL have that we don't need.

-Summer Bible Study will be starting soon! This is one of my favorite times to get to hang out with my "girlz"- I will be having TWO Bible Studies: one for 7th grade girls and one for girls in 8th-12th grade. I am really excited about hanging out with y'all each week over Bible Study! Let me know your thoughts and suggestions for this summer's study.

-Get your CAMP on! If you are not signed up for Summer Camp '07 - you are GOING TO MISS OUT!!!! It is going to be such a GREAT time. I can't wait to see how God is going to move in our ministry. If you still need to sign up- contact us at church- ASAP!

sorry, it's been a while ...

Hey Girls!

I apologize for not writing on this site more- it's really hard for me to "blog" on a regular basis.

ANYWAY ... What is going on with girls in our student ministry!?!?! Well- I would like to send a huge shout out to all of the girls who are doing Camp Apprentice. Until this last week, we ONLY had girl teams for Middle School and I want to say WAY TO GO! You all are awesome and I'm so excited to see you all do such a GREAT job at this.

I am thinking about doing a SPRING CLEANING event for girls ..... called "Operation: Closet Clean-out." The plan is for every girl to clean out her closet, like mad crazy, and bring in everything she doesn't wear anymore. We will have a huge pile in the ROC, then each girl has a chance to go through and pick out 1 new item. The rest will be given to Good-Will. What do y'all think about that? ......Let me know!
